Curd Rice/vibsk-16

Ingredients :

1. Rice : 150 g
2. Curd : 200 g
3. Cucumber : 1
4. Tomato : 1
5. Pomegranate Pearls : 2 tbsp
6. Round Boriya Mirch (Chilli) : 4-5
7. Mustard Seeds : 1 tsp
8. Red Chilli Powder : ¼  tsp (optional)
9. Coriander Leaves : For garnishing
10. Curry Leaves : 10-12
11.  Salt : To Taste
12. Oil : 1 tbsp

 Method :

  1. Steam-cook rice & keep aside.
  2. Chop tomato, cucumber & fresh coriander. Keep aside.
  3. Beat the curd & mix it with rice.
  4. Add chopped cucumber & tomatoes.
  5. Add pomegranate pearls & coriander leaves. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Add red chilli powder (optional) if you like spicy.
  7. Add salt to taste. Mix well.
  8. Heat oil in a tempering pan. Add mustard seed.
  9. When mustard seeds starts spluttering add curry leaves.
  10. Add boriya chillies (red-round one) to tempering pan.
  11. When boriya chillies are fried, pour this tempering on the curd rice & mix well.
  12. Curd rice is ready.

Serve hot or cold, Curd Rice is yummm. Serve with papad & pickle.

Step-1
