1. | Whole Wheat Flour | : | 500g |
2. | Clarified Ghee | : | 2-3 tsp |
3. | Salt | : | ¼ tsp |
4. | Water | : | To knead |
Method:
- To make TawaChapati, add salt & ghee to the whole wheat flour. Mix well. Add water & knead, to make soft dough.
- Cover with wet cloth & keep aside for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes take a small ball of dough & roll it between your palms. Dust it with dry flour & flatten it.
- Then, on the rolling surface roll it in a circle with rolling pin.
- Place the rolled chapati on heated griddle & roast on medium flame. When slightly roasted from one side flip it & roast the other side too. When roasted flip it again & roast it.
- Chapati will start inflating. Press it lightly & roast it on the griddle. When done, apply clarified ghee/butter & keep aside.
- You can press & roast chapatis on the griddle or you can roast chapatis directly on the flame. Roast chapati from both sides & take it off the flame.
- Make all the chapatis like this.
Serve hot Chapatis with vegetables: dry/gravy, veg/non-veg/daal.
