| 1. | Drumsticks | : | 3 (cut 3”sticks) |
| 2. | Ginger | : | 25 gm. |
| 3. | Garlic | : | 1 full pod |
| 4. | Green Chillies | : | 6 (as per taste) |
| 5. | Poppy Seeds | : | 3 tsp (optional) |
| 6. | Mustard Seed | : | 2 tsp |
| 7. | Red Chilli Powder | : | 1 tsp |
| 8. | Coriander Powder | : | 2 tsp |
| 9. | Salt | : | To taste |
| 10. | Fresh Coriander Leaves | : | 1 small bunch |
| 11. | Turmeric Powder | : | 1 tsp |
| 12. | Asafoetida | : | 1 tsp |
| 13. | Oil | : | 2 tsp for tempering |
Method :
- Cut drumsticks in 3″ to 4″ pieces.Keep aside.
- Add little water and grind all ingredients except turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
- Heat the oil in a wok. Add masala to heated oil and fry on medium flame.
- Add turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
- Cook masala till masala leaves sides of wok and separated from oil.
- Add drumsticks. Mix thoroughly with masala & cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir.
- Then, cover and cook till drumsticks are soft.
Spicy drumsticks are ready. Serve with daal & rice. Tastes best with daal-rice combination.
