1. | Whole Wheat Flour | : | 400 g |
2. | Clarified Ghee | : | 2 tsp |
3. | Luke-warm Water | : | To knead |
4. | Salt | : | ½ tsp |
5. | Oil | : | For deep frying |
Method:
- Add salt and clarified ghee (desi ghee) to whole wheat flour. Mix well.
- Add water and knead. Make tight dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes before making puris.
- After 10 minutes the dough is soft.
- Take a little dough and make a soft ball.
- Apply ghee on the rolling surface. With the help of rolling pin, make a small disc.
- Roll out 5-6 puris and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wok on high flame. Take a small piece of dough and put it in the heated oil, if it comes up immediately, the oil is ready for frying the puris.
- Bring down the flame to medium. Gently slide in puris in the heated oil and fry.
- When one side is light brown and puri is inflated, flip gently and fry the other side too.
- Take out of the wok when fried both sides. Fry all the puris. Puris are ready.
Serve hot with Dry black Grams/Chhole/Potato Curry/Masala Aloo and any other vegetable of your choice.
