Moong Daal Dahi Vade/VIBSK-01

Moong Daal dahi-vade are light as compare to conventional Urad Daal dahi-vade .

Ingredients :

Ingredient   Quanity
1. Moong Daal : 1 bowl
2. Onion : 2 medium size (cut in small pieces)
3. Green Coriander Leaves : 1 small bunch (finely chopped)
4. Green Chillies : 2  (cut in small pieces)
5. Curd : 200 gram
6. Salt : As per taste
7. Roasted Cumin Powder : 1 tsp
8. Green Mint Chutney : 1 bowl
9. Pomegranate : Optional
10. Oil : For deep frying

 

Method :

  1. Soak Moong Daal for 2 hours & rinse the water.
  2. Add a little water and grind daal to smooth batter. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a wok. Put a little batter in it and if the batter comes up immediately, oil is ready for frying.
  4. One by one start putting vade in the heated oil . Put the flame on high till you put all the vade in.
  5. After putting all in, put flame on medium & fry vade till golden brown. Stir time to time till done.
  6. Take warm water and soak vade in it for 20 minutes. By this process the excess oil will come out and vade will be soft for serving.
  7. Squeeze the water out from vade before serving.
  8. Add some curd, mint chutney, tamarind – ginger powder sweet chutney, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste.
  9. Add some more curd with chopped onion, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  10. If you like than add some pomegranate pearls.

Spicy and yummy moong daal dahi-vade are ready, enjoy with your family and friends.

1). Soak Moong Daal for 2 hours & rinse the water.

2). Add a little water and grind daal to smooth batter. Mix well.

3). Heat oil & fry vade.

When vade turns golden brown, take them out.

5). After taking out from wok, immediately soak vade in hot water for 1/2 n hour.

6). Before serving take them out of the water & keep aside.

7). Break 4-5 vade in serving plate. Add some curd, mint chutney, tamarind – ginger               powder sweet chutney, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste.

8). Add some more curd with chopped onion, green chillies and coriander leaves. If you like than add some pomegranate pearls.

Dahi Vade are ready to be served.
