Kesar Peda/vibsk-52

1. | Khoa | : | 250 g |
2. | Sugar Powder (Boora) | : | 250 g |
3. | Almonds | : | 15 (cut in halves) |
4. | Saffron (Kesar) | : | Few strands |
5. | Green Cardamom Powder | : | 1 tsp |
6. | Pistachios | : | 15-20 (cut in thin slices) |
7. | Clarified Ghee Desi Ghee) | : | 1 & ½ tsp |
8. | Milk | : | ½ cup (mix some kesar strands in the
warm milk) |
Method:
- Add khoa and clarified ghee to wok/pan and roast on medium flame.
- When khoa is roasted a little and melts, add kesar mixed milk. Mix well. Stir continuously and roast till khoa is little dry.
- Khoa is dry and well roasted. Take it off the flame.
- Wait till it is slightly warm and then add sugar powder as per your taste (Do not add sugar powder in it when it is very hot, let it cool down.)
- Add green cardamom powder. Knead to mix well.
- Now, to make kesar pedas, take out small portions and roll between your palms.
- KesarPedas are ready. Garnish with almonds, saffron and pistachios.
