Gram Flour Stuffed Chillies/Bharwa Mirch/vibsk-56

1. | Green Big & Long Chillies | : | 10-12 |
2. | Black Gram Flour | : | 1 bowl |
3. | Coriander Powder | : | 4-5 tsp |
4. | Raw Mango Powder (Amchoor) | : | 3-4 tsp |
5. | Turmeric Powder | : | 2 tsp |
6. | Red Chilli Powder | : | 2 tsp |
7. | Garam Masala | : | 1 &1/2 tsp |
8. | Salt | : | To taste |
9. | Asafoetida | : | 1 & ½ tsp |
10. | Carom Seeds | : | 3-4 tsp |
11. | Mustard Oil | : | 1 & ½ tbsp |
Method:
- Make a slit and remove seeds, from the chillies. Cut these strands of seeds and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wok and add black gram flour. Roast on low flame till light brown and gives out nutty fragrance.
- When gram flour is roasted, turn off the flame and add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, carom seeds, asafoetida and salt.
- Also add chilli seeds which were kept aside. Mix well.
- Roasted gram flour is hot; all the added masala will get slightly roasted in it.
- Stuffing is ready. Fill all the chillies with stuffing.
- Heat oil in a wok on medium flame. Then, bring down the flame to low.
- Slide in stuffed chillies one by one. Stir and flip time to time.
- Take them off from the flame when slightly soft.
- Stuffed Chillies are ready.
Serve with Lunch/Dinner as a side dish.
