Garlic Spinach (Lahsuni Palak)/vibsk-45

1. | Spinach | : | 1 thick bundle (blanched) |
2. | Tomato | : | 1 big |
3. | Cream | : | ½ small bowl |
4. | Asafoetida | : | 1 tsp |
5. | Garlic cloves | : | 15-20 |
6. | Cumin Seeds | : | 1 tsp |
7. | Red Chilli Powder | : | To taste |
8. | Coriander Powder | : | 1 tsp |
9. | Salt | : | To taste |
10. | Clarified Ghee (Desi Ghee)/
Any other edible oil |
: | 1 tbsp |
Method:
- Blend the spinach finely and chop the garlic roughly.
- Heat clarified ghee (desi ghee) in a wok. Bring down the flame to medium.
- Add and roast chopped garlic, till garlic is deep brown. Bring down the flame to low.
- Add cumin seeds, asafoetida and coriander powder. Stir.
- Add chopped tomatoes. Mix well and cook till tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add salt and red chilli powder. Mix again and cook.
- Add blended spinach. Mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Now, turn the flame to off.
- Add cream and mix well. Garnish with cream.
Serve hot with Chapati/Bhakri/Paratha etc.
