Sattu Paratha/vibsk-20

Ingredients :

1. Roasted Black (Chickpeas) Gram : 100 g
2. Fresh Coriander Leaves : 1 bowl
3. Garlic Cloves : 7-8
4. Green Chillies : 4-5
5. Red Chilli Powder : ¼  tsp
6. Turmeric Powder : ¼ tsp
7. Salt : To Taste
8. Wheat Flour (for dough) : 300 g
9. Ghee/Oil : 1 tbsp

 Method :

  1. Add 1 tsp ghee & ¼ tsp salt to whole wheat flour. Add water & knead the flour to make soft dough. Keep aside.
  2. In a mixer, add roasted black gram, green chillies, garlic cloves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt & little water. Grind coarsely.
  3. Take out the stuffing in a bowl & keep aside.
  4. Take a small ball of dough & roll it between your palms. Dust it with dry flour & flatten it.
  5.  Make a small disc. Place 1 tsp stuffing in the centre of the disc. Bring together the sides, sealing the stuffing inside.
  6. Dust with flour & press softly. With rolling pin, roll the stuffed ball evenly.
  7. Heat the griddle on medium flame. Place the rolled stuffed paratha on the heated griddle & roast from both sides. Apply ghee & shallow fry the paratha till golden brown from both sides.

Serve hot Parathas with mint chutney/pickle/sauce.

Step-1
